The market supervision and Administration Bureau of Pudong New Area in Shanghai announced today (October 20) that moldy vegetables and some seasonings were out of date in the canteen of the school. The school has sealed up and submitted the expired food for inspection, and ordered the school to immediately stop the catering provided by the original contractor.
According to the circular, at 20:00 on October 19, the Bureau received a report from the 12331 hotline, reflecting food safety problems such as moldy vegetables and dirty kitchen environment in the canteen of Qingtong Campus (No. 169 Qingtong Road, Pudong). After investigation, the school canteen holds a valid food business license, and the daily food business is undertaken by Shanghai Yile Food Technology Co., Ltd. On the evening of 19, supervisors found that the tomatoes in the vegetable basket of the school canteen were moldy. The processing date of semi-finished products stored in the refrigerator was marked as October 20, and some condiments and semi-finished products in the kitchen exceeded the marked storage period.
In view of the problems found in the on-site inspection, the law enforcement personnel of the Bureau immediately sealed up the food with potential food safety risks in the canteen of the school, collected 21 samples of reserved food and semi-finished products in the kitchen refrigerator and sent them to the testing agency for testing. At the same time, the school is ordered to stop the original contractor's meal supply immediately, and the school shall propose a plan for the subsequent meal supply mode, which shall be submitted to the Bureau and the education department for examination and approval. And require SMIC School to implement the main responsibility of food safety, and further strengthen the internal management of food safety.
At present, the bureau is carrying out a further in-depth investigation into the food safety management of SMIC School, the business qualification and food contract service of Shanghai Yile food science and Technology Co., Ltd., and once it is verified that the school and the contractor have illegal acts, they will be investigated and dealt with strictly and promptly according to law. Meanwhile, on-site inspection shall be carried out on the canteens of other schools and units provided or managed by Shanghai Yile Food Technology Co., Ltd., and food safety warning shall be issued to canteens contracted by Shanghai Yile Food Technology Co., Ltd. in the whole city and other regions to prevent secondary incidents. At the same time, we will carry out special inspection on all school canteens in the district together with the education authorities to prevent similar incidents.
